WHAT IS IT?

The HBA of Berks County Remodelers Council (RHBA) consists of remodelers, designers, suppliers, and manufacturers who work, service, or sell product in Berks County.

It is a group of people and companies that share a common industry… a common career… a common love.

It’s all about remodeling!

WHO SHOULD JOIN?

To be a Member of the RHBA, you must first be an HBA of Berks County Member. RHBA dues are $80 / year which makes your company a Member of the HBA, PBA, and NAHB Remodelers’ Councils with additional benefits over top of regular HBA Membership (Like the exclusive suite available at the International Builders Show (IBS)).

WHAT DO COUNCIL MEMBERS DO?

Enjoy educational speakers, share in cutting-edge industry trends and issues, compare best practices with peers, and network with professionals like you from all facets of the industry.

HOW OFTEN DO THEY GATHER?

About 4 times a year, somewhat evenly spaced over the calendar; but, never during the busy months of summer.

TO WHOM DO THEY REPORT?

The RHBA is more than a committee. It is a council. Meaning, although it falls under the legal structure of the HBA, it has more autonomy than would a committee.

So, whereas committees recommend action items to the HBA Board of Directors for the Board to make decisions, the RHBA may act on its own. That is, as long as it does so in keeping with the mission, bylaws, and policies of the HBA. Ultimately, the HBA Board has authority.

A good analogy, is to think of the Council like a 25 year old still living at home with their parents. There is a lot they can do on their own; but, in the end, they still live under Mom & Dad’s roof.

Most Members love the visits to other Member companies. See how they do it. Ask why. Challenge them and learn more about yourself in the process.

When you are ready, become a host! Show off your processes, employees, offices, and showrooms. Why are you the best? Prove it!
